§ Mr. Gurdenasked the Attorney-General what action was taken by the Director of Public Prosecutions in the cases of illegal marriages of young immigrant female children which were reported to him.
The Attorney-General:I assume that the hon. Member is referring to the two cases reported by the Registrar General. The Director of Public Prosecutions considered these cases and after consulting Treasury Counsel concluded that they did not disclose the commission of an offence.
