HC Deb 05 May 1970 vol 801 cc77-8W
88. Mr. Orbach

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what proposals he has received from the Stockport Corporation in respect of their housing programme for 1970 to 1975.

Mr. Freeson:

I understand that Stockport Corporation hopes to put 170 dwellings out to contract between now and the end of 1972 and that of these it proposes to put out 134 this year. I have as yet been informed of no proposals for the later years.

89. Mr. Orbach

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what was the number of housing units completed in Stockport in the private sector in each of the calendar years 1964 to 1969; and how many of these were for rent and how many for sale.

Mr. Freeson:

As the answer contains a number of figures, I will, with permission, publish them in the OFFICIAL REPORT. These range from 365 to 193 completions per year. None of these dwellings is known to have been built for letting.

Following is the information:

Stockport Borough Council
Year Completions—Private Sector
1964 291
1965 260
1966 365
1967 263
1968 333
1969 193
