§ 98. Mr. Speedasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total annual revenue received by way of excise duties and company taxation, for the most recent convenient 12-month period, from the brewery companies with assets of £500,000 and more and net profits of £50,000 and more.
§ Mr. Taverne:No separate figures are available for companies of different sizes. Net receipts of excise duty on beer in the calendar year 1969 were about £427 million. I will write to the hon. Member on the second part of his Question.
