Mr. Harold Lever:

I am in constant touch with the N.C.B. on these matters. On the general position I have nothing to add to my reply on 27th April to Questions from my hon. Friends the Members for Bristol, Central (Mr. Palmer) and Salford, East (Mr. Frank Allaun) and the hon. Member for Cambridge (Mr. Lane).—[Vol. 800, c. 866]

Mr. Milne

asked the Minister of Technology what talks he has had with representatives of employers and employees in the distributive trades, in view of the threat to employment arising from the shortage of smokeless fuel; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Alan Williams:

There have been no talks on this aspect of the solid smokeless fuel supply position.
