HC Deb 26 March 1970 vol 798 cc530-1W
Mr. Turton

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what are the anticipated water deficiencies in the area of the Yorkshire Ouse and Hull River Authority in the years 1981 to 2001, respectively.

Mr. Greenwood

The Yorkshire Ouse and Hull River Authority estimates deficiencies of 45 million gallons a day in 1981 and some 190 million gallons a day in 2001 AD. These figures omit deficiencies arising in the area of the North Derbyshire Water Board, and do not take account of the potential yield from small isolated sources. The figure for 2001 AD includes an allowance for possible planned growth on Humberside. The Water Resources Board is working to the same basic figures as the authority.
