asked the Minister of Technology what estimate he has made of the effect on British vehicle exports during the 12 months ended 28th February, 1970, or latest convenient period of assessment, of industrial disturbances, strikes and stoppages in the vehicle manufacturing and contributing components and allied industries; and what action he is taking to minimise the impact of such strikes on exports.

None. No reliable estimate of the effect of industrial disputes on exports can be made in part because no information is available of the amount of production subsequently made good when work is resumed.
