HC Deb 25 March 1970 vol 798 cc452-3W
Mr. Robert Howarth

asked the Minister of Technology if he will now undertake to give advance warning of Concorde supersonic test flights over land.

Mr. Benn

It will not be possible to give notice of the precise times of test flights. We are, however, arranging for the Press, radio and television services to be informed by the British Aircraft Corporation, the day before, of an expected flight and of the likely period of the day within which it is expected to take place.

Some flights of which notice will have been given may not, however, take place, since flights may have to be postponed at short notice for technical reasons or because of bad weather.
