(2) if he will publish the number of indictable offences known to the police which have involved the use of one or more firearms in the 12 months to the latest convenient date, with comparable figures for each of the last five years.
§ Mr. Elystan MorganThe revised figures for indictable offences known to the police in England and Wales in which a firearm was fired or presented were: 792 in 1967 and 878 in 1968. Figures392W for earlier years are not available. I will write to the hon. Member when I have the figure for 1969.
