HC Deb 19 March 1970 vol 798 c178W
50. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what plans he has, in view of the expanding traffic in and through the Turks and Caicos Islands, for installing a modern telephone, radio and telex system through Cable and Wireless or otherwise.

Mr. Luard

A general technical survey of the Islands' telecommunications needs by Cable and Wireless is at present in progress. When the results of this are known steps can then be taken to decide how their communications requirements can best be met to cope with likely increased development.
