asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the progress of his plans for the erection of Phase 2 of the Royal Mint at Llantrisant.

There has been no change in the Government's intention to transfer the Royal Mint to Wales and to close the existing Mint on Tower Hill by about the end of 1973. Planning is proceeding accordingly.
