HC Deb 16 March 1970 vol 798 c16W
91. Rear-Admiral Morgan-Giles

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further plans he has for relieving student nurses of non-nursing duties while under training.

Mr. Crossman

I said in my statement on 2nd March that I proposed to pursue consultations with managements and the professions on all possible measures to enable nurses to use their skills to the full in the service of the patient. I am now about to write to regional hospital board chairmen urging them to do all they can to relieve nursing staff, including student nurses, of non-nursing duties.—[Vol. 797,c. 36–43.]
