Dr. John Dunwoody

Information in the form requested is not at present available, but the Government Social Survey Department has conducted for my Department a survey of physically handicapped and chronic sick adults living at home in Great Britain and the results are expected to be available by the autumn. These will include estimates of the numbers of people in each category referred to in the questions and information about causes and degrees of handicap.

Medical services under the National Health Service provide for examination and assessment of individuals, as appropriate.
