asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the costs in 1969–70 of increasing earned income relief to £300 or two-ninths of earned income, whichever is the higher, as proposed in paragraph 148 of the Trades Union Congress Economic Review 1970, a copy of which has been sent to him.
