HC Deb 16 March 1970 vol 798 cc36-7W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what was the number of disabled persons in employment and unemployed known to her Department in Scotland at the latest convenient date; how many have vehicles allotted to them; and what type of vehicle.

Mr. Dell

On 10th February 1970, 8,640 registered disabled persons were registered as unemployed at Employment Exchanges in Scotland. There are no figures available for the number of registered disabled persons in employment. Nor do records held by the Scottish Home and Health Department indicate the current employment situation of disabled persons to whom vehicles have been issued.
