§ 82 and 83. Sir B. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1) what progress has been made in obtaining international agreement for security against the hi-jacking of aircraft and the prevention of murderers blowing-up civilians travelling in civil aircraft;
(2) what special proposals will be put forward by Her Majesty's Government at the special meeting called by the Swiss Government to consider international action to deal with the sabotage of aircraft and the harbouring of murderers intent on blowing-up civilians in civilian aircraft; and if he will seek to have such proposals implemented forthwith, in view of the continuing concern over this matter.
§ Mr. LuardThe Council of is meeting today. We have instructed our representative strongly to support the earliest possible convening of the proposed international conference. Meanwhile all practical measures are being taken to improve security in the light of the recent conference in Paris.
