HC Deb 16 March 1970 vol 798 c5W
Mr. Michael Shaw

asked the Minister of Technology if he will place in the Library a copy of the latest accounts of Beagle Aircraft Limited.

Mr. Benn

A Receiver and Manager was appointed before the company's first annual accounts were finalised and the company is now in liquidation. For technical reasons it is impracticable for certified accounts to be completed in the normal way. In these circumstances, the Liquidator has asked the company's auditors, Messrs. Price Waterhouse & Co. to examine the company's transactions from the date of its incorporation to the date of appointment of the Receiver and Manager. In due course accounts covering this period will be filed with the Registrar of Companies, will be open to public inspection, and I will see to it that they are available in the House of Commons Library.
