HC Deb 11 March 1970 vol 797 c352W
Mr. Donald Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what steps he is taking to improve and extend family planning facilities in Wales.

Mr. George Thomas

With my encouragement every local health authority in Wales provides a family planning service and I have asked the hospital authorities to consider what more they can do. Wales will also benefit from the development of the work of the Family Planning Association, which receives a Government grant.

Mr. Donald Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many hospitals in Wales do not make provision for Family Planning Association clinics.

Mr. George Thomas

Family Planning Association Clinics are held at 15 hospitals in Wales. I have recently asked hospital authorities to review the arrangements for providing family planning advice in hospitals.
