HC Deb 09 March 1970 vol 797 c212W
46. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he is aware that vacancies for three pharmacists at Copthorne Hospital, Shrewsbury, have remained unfilled for three and a half years despite repeated advertising, as a result of the unattractiveness of the terms of service and pay offered; and, in view of the resulting deterioration in service at the hospital, whether he will now improve the terms of service and pay.

Mr. Crossman

I am aware that Copthorne Hospital is short of pharmacists. The pay of hospital pharmacists is a matter for Committee C of the Pharmaceutical Whitley Council who are currently considering a claim submitted by the Staff Side.
