Rural Bus Services (Subsidies)

Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Minister of Transport how many local authorities have taken advantage of powers to subsidise rural bus services under the provisions of the Transport Act, 1968.

To my knowledge 17 local authorities in England are taking advantage of these powers, and several others have schemes under consideration.
