§ Mr. Newensasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) how much land, on which planning permission for housing purposes has been obtained, re mains in the possession of Waltham Holy Cross Urban District Council since the sale of such land for the erection of houses for sale;
(2) if he will obtain an estimate of the number of applicants on Waltham Holy Cross Urban District Council's housing list who will be rehoused during the course of each of the next five years, and the number of applications which are expected to remain after the addition of the names of new applicants;
(3) if he will obtain the number of applicants at present included on the waiting list for rehousing by Waltham Holy Cross Urban District Council;
(4) if he will obtain an estimate of the number of new houses which will become available for letting to applicants on Waltham Holy Cross Urban District Council's housing list for each of the next five years;
(5) what was the annual number of houses built by Waltham Holy Cross Urban District Council since 1964; and what is the annual programme which is proposed for the next five years.
§ Mr. FreesonThe number of houses completed by Waltham Holy Cross162W Urban District Council each year since 1964 is as follows:
Four bungalows will be built this year. It is primarily for the council to keep under review the adequacy of its pool of accommodation in relation to local needs, and to put forward proposals for land acquisition or house building, which would, of course, receive prompt consideration, but at present the Ministry is not informed on these points.
