§ Mr. Laneasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what were the total numbers of trained nursery teachers and trained assistants with National Nursery Examination Board qualifications or equivalent who completed training courses in 1967 and 1968.
§ Miss Lestor408 students successfully completed courses of initial training in colleges of education for nursery and nursery/infant teaching in 1966–67 and 349 in 1967–68. I understand that 1,966 students gained the National Nursery Examination Board's certificate in 1967 and 2,379 in 1968. There are no equivalent qualifications.
