Mr. Hileyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what 61W steps he proposes to take to ensure that the existing rights of way in Langstrothdale, Yorkshire Dales National Park, are adequately protected following the granting of licences to the Economic Forestry Group by the Northern Pennines Rural Development Board.
§ Mr. SkeffingtonLocal authorities have a duty to protect public rights of way under Section 116 of the Highways Act, 1959, and can take action to remove any obstructions under Section 121 of that Act.
