84. Mr. Silverman

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will state the financial grants made to Birmingham for each of the years 1966–67, 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70 in respect of the total rate support grants, specific revenue grants, rate rebate grants, capital grants and housing grants.

The particulars of these grants are given below. With the exception of rate support grants, the information for 1969–70 is not yet available.

No precise estimate is possible, but it would take some considerable time to establish and staff such a body and thereafter to obtain sites and carry out building schemes.
