asked the Minister of Transport if he will now take steps to make it obligatory for the makers of all other British-manufactured diesel engines to observe the standards of low carbon emission achieved by one design, details of which have been sent to him.

We have not received details of this design, but we are taking action on this problem as described in my answer to my hon. Friend the Member for Rye (Mr. Bryant Godman Irvine) today.
