HL Deb 22 July 1970 vol 311 c1059WA
LORD FERRIER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why a reduced price "day return" first-class railway ticket is available from London to Cambridge and not from Cambridge to London; and further, if the reason is pressure on the regular "commuter" traffic, British Railways will contemplate introducing the latter facility after, say, 10 a.m.

LORD MOWBRAY AND STOURTON

This is entirely a matter of management for the Railways Board, and I am sure the Board will be glad to give the noble Lord an answer if he approaches them.
