§ 68. Mr. James Hillasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will re-examine the method of issuing office development permits, in view of the fact that Southampton has not received an office development permit since they commenced in 1967.
§ Mr. Graham PageThe office development control is under examination, and until this review has been completed I cannot say how any changes on which my right hon. Friend decides will affect particular areas such as Southampton. Twenty-nine office development permits for small amounts of space have, in fact, been issued for offices in Southampton since the control was extended to the area in July, 1966, out of 39 applied for.
