§ Mr. CarlisleThe Home Office is having informal discussions with representatives of all county planning authorities in the north of England about the Department's general need for 87W sites for new prisons. These will be followed by the usual detailed consultations with the local authorities concerned about any proposal to build a prison on a particular site.
