§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for reports from the chief constables of Welsh police forces on instances of intimidatory conduct by certain persons at the declaration of polls in Wales at the General Election of 1970.
§ Mr. SharplesI have been informed that at some declarations there was a good deal of shouting and jostling, and that at one the wife of an hon. Member was struck by a missile; but I understand that the police did not come into the possession of any evidence on which criminal proceedings could have been justified.
