At 1st July, 1970 the areas were as follows:

  • Beauly.
  • Bellshill.
  • Blackridge/Harthill/Salsburgh.
  • Burntisland/Kinghorn.
  • Cardenden
  • Coatbridge.
  • Cupar.
  • Dumfries.
  • Fauldhouse/Stoneyburn.
  • Grangemouth
  • Hamilton.
  • Kelty.
  • Kilsyth.
  • Larkhall.
  • Lochgelly.
  • Motherwell/Wishaw/Carfin.
  • Polmont/Brightons.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the amount paid to general practitioners through the Rural Practice Fund in the years 1964 to 1969; and what are the areas covered by this fund.

The Scottish Rural Practices Fund is distributed, in respect of eligible patients, to doctors practising in all National Health Service executive council areas, except in the four cities, in accordance with schemes drawn up by each executive council. The following amounts were paid in the financial years since 1964:
