HC Deb 17 July 1970 vol 803 c283W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications what consultation he has had, and intends having, with the Musicians' Union concerning the introduction of commercial local radio; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Chataway

As I told the hon. Member for Fife, West (Mr. William Hamilton) on 6th July, as my study of the technical and other aspects of commercial radio proceeds, I shall of course undertake wide-ranging consultations. I hope that the Musicians' Union, among many other organisations, will join in these consultations.—[Vol. 803, col. 314–15.]
