Mr. Pardoe

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has received about a special Farm Price Review in 1970; and what replies he has given.

We have received a number of such representations mainly from the National Farmers' Union county branches. My right hon. Friend has also discussed the question with the President of the National Far mers' Union for England and Wales. He has said that he is prepared to consider representations for a special Review but the case would have to be a strong one to justify a change in the agreed procedure.

Mr. Pardoe

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will hold a special Farm Price Review in the autumn of 1970 to reimburse producers for increased costs.

My right hon. Friend is prepared to consider any representations put to him for a special Review but the case would have to be a strong one to justify any change in the present arrangements.
