HC Deb 14 July 1970 vol 803 c179W
80. Mr. Gourlay

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has now received representations from Kinghorn Labour Party, regarding irregularities in the imposition of rent increases on council tenants in Kinghorn, and about the conduct of certain committee meetings of the Town Council; and whether he will hold an inquiry into the administration of the burgh.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

The Secretary of the Kinghorn Labour Party wrote to me on 6th July. My information is that some increases in rents were made without being properly approved by the town council but that this error has now been put right. No evidence has been put to me which would justify an inquiry into the burgh's administration.
