asked the Attorney-General if he will introduce policies to ensure a speed up in all forms of legal work and the reduction of the cost of litigation.

My noble Friend the Lord Chancellor recognises the importance of these objectives. The decision to give effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission on Assizes and Quarter Sessions will assist in their attainment.
