HC Deb 07 July 1970 vol 803 c47W
Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the President of the Board of Trade what representations he has received about infringement of the Trade Descriptions Act by Trans World Airlines in advertising a choice of meals for their passengers, when this is forbidden by International Air Transport Association regulations; and what replies he has sent.

Mr. Corfield

There has been one such complaint which referred to an advertisement offering a choice of main courses the provision of which in no way contravenes I.A.T.A. regulations. The writer was referred to his local weights and measures authority, which is under a duty to enforce this Act.
