Airports (Runway Categories)

Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will list the runway categories of the major airports in this country.

Mr. Corfield

Runway 10R at London Heathrow and Runway 28 at Liverpool have Category II landing facilities. In addition ILS equipment which meets the Category II performance standard is installed as follows:

• Heathrow—28L.
• Heathrow—10L.
• Birmingham—33.
• Manchester—24.
• Gatwick—27.
• Prestwick—31.
