asked the Minister of Transport how many vehicles are licensed in the administrative county of West Suffolk; and what was the total sum of money collected from their owners in licence duties in the years 1967–68 and 1968–69, respectively.

It is provisionally estimated that there were 57,240 licensed motor vehicles in the third quarter of 1969 compared with 57,600 in 1968. £964,271 was collected in licence duty in the financial year, 1967–68 and £1,427,905 in 1968–69; refunds of licence duly in the same periods were £34,735 and £51,953.
