HC Deb 29 January 1970 vol 794 c392W
Q13. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister with whom, apart from Ministers and civil servants, he has had discussions in his official capacity during the current year, on matters connected with the Middle East; what new proposals for solving the Israeli-Arab dispute have been put to him and by whom; and with what results.

The Prime Minister

Since the beginning of the year I have had a number of official discussions on the Middle East problem, notably my talks with the United Nations Secretary General and with President Nixon, about which there are other Questions on the Order Paper. In addition a number of recent visitors to the Middle East have given me their impressions, including my right hon. Friend the Member for Belper (Mr. George Brown). All these discussions and conversations have been confidential.
