HC Deb 26 January 1970 vol 794 cc272-3W
104. Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Minister of Transport what investigations his Department has carried out into the use of ferrocyanide in road surface drainage; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Bob Brown

Ferrocyanide is not used in road drainage. Very small quantities are added to road salt to prevent caking. I am advised that these quantities are not dangerous to fish life in river waters.
