HC Deb 26 January 1970 vol 794 c263W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the total amount allowed in income tax relief against loan interest charges, excluding mortgage payments in 1967–68; and what proportion of this relief was allowed against Scottish incomes.

Mr. Taverne

For non-traders, about £25 million. The proportion allowed to Scottish individuals is not known.
