HC Deb 26 January 1970 vol 794 cc268-9W
Mr. Malcolm MacMillan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many children of school age in the village of Gravir, Isle of Lewis, are still not receiving education at Lemreway School.

Mr. Ross

I understand from the education authority that of the eight children of primary school age four are attending Kershader School, and one child who has been absent all session because of illness is expected to go there when fit. The remaining three children are attending Lemreway School.

Mr. Malcolm MacMillan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the building of the proposed new school at Gravir, Isle of Lewis, is to begin; and when it will be ready for occupation.

Mr. Ross

June 1970. The education authority expects to have the building ready for occupation by August 1971.
