§ Mr. David Howellasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if he will take steps to obtain information showing the breakdown by socioeconomic class or income group of those who apply for employment and those who are placed in employment by employment exchanges for the most convenient recent years; and if he will publish such of this information as is already in his possession.
§ Mr. DellNo. The information is not available in respect of past periods and could only be obtained in the future at undue cost and at some inconvenience to the public. A breakdown of the adult unemployed register by occupation is published quarterly in the Employment & Productivity Gazette.
