HC Deb 19 January 1970 vol 794 c46W
Mr. Golding

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will ensure that no plans for the modernisation of secondary education in Newcastle-under-Lyme are approved which will involve children living in the north of the borough travelling to the south of the borough.

Mr. Edward Short

As I have not yet received this authority's secondary reorganisation proposals I cannot comment at this stage. When a plan is submitted I shall go very carefully into all its details.
