HC Deb 19 January 1970 vol 794 cc42-3W
Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give the figures for the period of the last five years of murders of children of fifteen years and under and where parents or close relatives were responsible, and the percentages in each case.

Mr. Elystan Morgan

Following are the latest corrected figures for England and Wales for the last five years for which statistics are available:

steps he proposes to take in the light of the annual report of the Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art to prevent the export of archaeological material discovered in Great Britain; and if he will make a statement.

Miss Jennie Lee

The Government has accepted the Reviewing Committee's recommendation that export control should extend to British archaeological material, whatever its value. The new arrangements will be coming into force very shortly.
