§ Mr. Bishopasked the Attorney-General when he expects to publish a working paper on the law of family property, having regard to the fact that the Divorce Reform Act will become operative in January, 1971.
The Attorney-GeneralI assume that the hon. Member has in mind the working paper which the Law Commission has indicated it intends to publish. The Commission hopes in the present year to complete the informal consultations necessary before that working paper can be issued. I wish, however, to make it clear that there is no necessary connection between the commencement of the Divorce Reform Act and any proposals for the reform of the law of family property.
