HC Deb 19 January 1970 vol 794 cc27-8W
Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress has been made in negotiating compensation for British assets seized by the Republic of Indonesia.

Mr. Luard

Owners of British enterprises wishing to claim compensation submitted their claims to the Indonesian Government before the end of July, 1969. The Indonesian Government have been considering these claims and expect to open detailed negotiations with the claimants soon.
