asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Pro- ductivity what was the figure for registered unemployment in Yorkshire at the latest available date; and how this compares with the equivalent date in 1964.

The total numbers registered as unemployed in Yorkshire at February, 1970 and February, 1964 were 62,596 and 35,709, respectively. The figure for February, 1970 is provisional.
