HC Deb 26 February 1970 vol 796 c396W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will take steps to ensure that when police search a pregnant woman, with or without her permission, a search warrant should be obtained giving the woman's consent or objection in writing thereon and to ensure that in all such cases when the search actually takes place a doctor selected by the woman is present during such searches.

Mr. Elystan Morgan

My right hon. Friend is calling for a report on the case that my hon. Friend no doubt has in mind, and I will write to him in due course.
