HC Deb 25 February 1970 vol 796 c335W
79. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the public concern, he will agree to meet a deputation to discuss the affairs of the Dollar Land Holdings Company before coming to a decision whether or not to appoint inspectors to investigate the affairs of the company.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

My hon. Friend now knows that the Board of Trade are not satisfied that there are grounds for the appointment of an inspector under section 165(b) of the Companies Act 1948 to investigate the affairs of the company. I do not consider that any useful purpose would be served by my receiving a further deputation.
