HC Deb 24 February 1970 vol 796 cc282-3W
Sir W. Bromley-Davenport

asked the Minister of Transport if he will give particulars of the 12 firms which have received, in aggregate, the greatest value of road building contracts of over —100,000 for principal roads, as distinct from trunk roads and motorways, in the past three years, and the total value of the contracts received by each.

Mr. Bob Brown

Principal roads are primarily the responsibility of the local highway authorities concerned. The information requested is not readily available and could only be provided at disproportionate expense.
