HC Deb 19 February 1970 vol 796 cc173-4W
Mr. William Edwards

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many forms, documents, orders and other papers have been produced by his Department in the Welsh language since the passing of the Welsh Language Act to the latest convenient date.

Mr. Elysian Morgan

86 forms have been prescribed for use in magistrates' courts and juvenile courts in Wales and Monmouthshire, and one non-statutory form has been recommended. The Home Office has also circulated to magistrates' courts translations of precedents and a glossary of Welsh legal terms. Five forms were prescribed in 1968 for use in the Sunday polls held under the Licensing Act, 1964.
